Life is a Hydrogen Highway
When those deja-vu inducing promos came out for "Who Killed the Electric Car?" came out a while back, I started wondering whether the technology for an environmentally friendly, non-oil sheik supporting car would ever be brought to the mass market. The most highly-skilled engineers in the world could build a magic flying carpet a la Alladin, but if entrenched corporate interests didn't like the ramifications (ie. oil profits plummet) then the final product just ain't gonna fly.
The proposed Hydrogen Highway of hydrogen refueling stations stretching from beautiful BC down to sunny California could finally get the hydogen-powered vehicle industry moving. After all, no one's going to buy a car that they can't drive because there's nowhere to fill it up. It truly is a case of "build it, and they will come."

Check out this MSM item that faded away when the Global Warming Swindle started and Politicians saw the Car and Oil business as the new cash-cow for taxing to death the citizens.
Why do you think the Canadian Government won't allow a clean Electric Railway system like in Europe, and just look at how Bombardier exports Electric trains
but here in canada we only allow the GM Diesel/Electric Locomotives .

There is sufficient proof to show that oil companies have not been eager for an electric car or other technologies. But there has not been a vehicle developed yet that conclusively beats our current technology either. Can it be done? I think so but the resources have not been put there yet. In regards electric trains in Canada: the massive cost of electric service per mile is the reason it hasn't happened. Europe is a small dense continent and the Americas are big and vast and electric trains are not cost effective whatsoever. (real conservative)

nony mouse, I've driven electric trains. You're right, they are wonderful devices. In the right place, that is...
In my case, I work underground as a miner. We have electric trolley trains to haul ore. These things throw sparks, lots of sparks. I would hate to see those kinds of sparks being thrown into the bush here in northern Ontario. Forest fires would be seen from space as one continuous line.
