Hey Jonathon! Just saw the mention of my article above. First time you showed up on my radar of the Vancouver Blogging scene. Apologies for missing you before! Great blog. While I'm still sort of part of the Vancouver Blogging alumni group (based out of Japan now.. full time), I still keep an eye on what is happening at home. Pacific IT still continues to exist but more of a personal blog on technology and my experiences in Japan.

Isabella and MJ (Urbanista) and David Drucker (Loud Murmurs) are very cool people who I'm very pleased to call friends of mine in the Vancouver scene. So is Kris Krug and Derek Miller. Really pleased you're keeping up to date with their happenings.. I'll certainly use this blog as a resource! (Won't be able to make Northern Voice this year again.. dang it!).

As far as SEO and WHY these articles were higher than yours, I would look at the little things in your code, meta tags, and the fact there are no keywords for Technorati/Google to follow. The spider needs to know what words to connect with your articles. If you keep placing "Vancouver Blogger" in the right areas and have the keywords picked up by the spider, it will take you no time to be in the top three.

Good luck with it and stay in touch!

It's always fun when you are on the front page of a search. I was actually amused that I could simply be googled.
