I know this response comes far too late, but Facebook has changed a lot. It's almost a verbose version of Twitter (or more accurately, Jaiku) these days and I think it's hugely important for staying on top of loved ones, business partners, and so forth. Twitter to us is very natural, but Facebook has the mass appeal that can help propel you in niches outside of the web 2.0 world.

Just have to do it right and avoid all of those nasty applications. I've turned them all off. :)

I refuse to be on Facebook, period. Sorry to all of my students, my good friends, those people who barely know me and want to get to know me, etc. I want people to e-mail me a proper message .. "hey Raul was just thinking of you... this what I've been up to..."

:)

Am I asking for too much?
