Just one or two incidents of "it's unlikely we'll ever be able to recover your stuff or catch the guy who did it" are usually enough to get people to stop calling it in. No calls, stats go down. Just one or two incidents of “it’s unlikely we’ll ever be able to recover your stuff or catch the guy who did it” are usually enough to get people to stop calling it in. No calls, stats go down.

What makes you think things are worse? I live two blocks from Main and Hastings and I can tell you the only thing that's worse this year is, the heroin seems to be killing more people compared to last year.
