Globe and Post: Cop Killers

He didn’t die because he was tasered five times by three RCMP officers in October of 2007 in an arrivals area at Vancouver International Airport.

He died, we’ve been told, because he drank too much and had a fear of flying. And when you mix those two things with 50,000 volts of electricity, terrible things happen…

Excellent analysis by Globe and Mail columnist Gary Mason on a tragic miscarriage of justice. Read the full article here.

The findings in the case of Polish national Robert Dziekanski, killed at Vancouver’s YVR in an infamous incident caught on video, proves the cops can’t be trusted to investigate themselves. The case brings shame to Canada in the eyes of the international community. This cannot stand.

Judge for yourself.

The subtle message of this classic tune seems appropriate for the times.

I think it’s all a travesty. Can’t believe they are getting away with it.
