There’s seeing nuance, and then there’s rationalizing the acts of fanatical extremists who don’t share our nuanced view of the world, and who believe that the fresh blood of the infidels is more valuable then a future for their children. I try to avoid the latter activity.

Indeed, my moral compass appears to be working just fine, Jan. I’m not sure if your lack of clarity stems from stereotypical European values of moral relativism and defeatism, or if you’ve come by your world view all on your own. Either way, I’m sorry to see you’ve bought into it.

Hamas and allied Islamofascists firing rockets into Israel indiscriminately are motivated by the same base hatreds as any other racist thugs. They must be fought.

Well, Jonathon, you're nothing if not consistent: Things sure are black and white to you (as per our last politics "discussion")

the only practical response to fascists armed to the teeth is to kill as many of them as you can before they get a chance to kill you.

Things would be a lot simpler if the bastards would just live (and die) peacefully in the nice reservations that were so generously given to them.
