This Protest March Brought to You by Mr. Fuck Canada Day

The upcoming Vancouver version of the Gaza Freedom March (which for some reason is not marching for freedom for Palestinians from Hamas thugs) appears to be organized and promoted with the help of UBC SPHR President Omar Amroosh Chaaban, formerly Omar Shaban, Vice-President of the Canadian Arab Federation.

As you’ll recall, Chaaban was called out by Tarek Fatah, founder of the Muslim Canadian Congress, for writing “Fuck Canada Day” on his Facebook profile. “This hateful attitude towards Canada is a direct result of how some politicians and police have refused to stand up to Islamists, either out of fear or for electoral expediency,” Fatah said at the time.

To refresh your memory, Omar says he resigned (rather than being asked to resign) shortly after the incident on July 1. CAF lost its taxpayer funding, in part for similar sorts of unwise comments, such as when Canadian Arab Federation president Khaled Mouammar called Federal Immigration Minister Jason Kenney a “professional whore”. But Mr. Chaaban (or Shaban) should certainly be lauded for his contribution to a chain of events that resulted in an end to taxpayer funding for an organization that seems to be inconsistent with “Canada’s best liberal values of tolerance and mutual respect”.

You’d think that a Palestinian group assumed to be looking for deeper support in the wider community would want a leader who is a little less of a potential liability on the public relations front. But then again, that depends on the kind of PR they really want to have. After all, we know what passes for rational discussion of Israel and Palestine on Canadian campuses.

As for the real march which now seems to have been halted on the Egyptian border (by pro-Zionist Egyptians, no doubt), that farce is brought to you by George Galloway, perhaps known chiefly outside the British Isles for this sort of disgusting conduct.

As for the goals of the protest march itself, there’s a fairly straightforward way of achieving the end of the blockade of Gaza that will go far beyond sending some crates of food and medical supplies once every three years. The Palestinians in Gaza must reject (and if necessary, overthrow) the thuggish Hamas regime. Rockets, terror and bombings against Israeli targets will not end their misery. Palestinians can win their freedom if they are willing to stand up to their oppressors.

This kid is amazing! Having successfully tarnished his first good name, he working on his second. Seems to be the thing to do with these foreigners. I noticed that the two jihadists released from Guantanamo, now skulking in Yemen, and claiming responsibility for planning the recent failed Christmas day attack, have also changed their names. The only name change I want to read about for these folks is the prefix “recently deceased”.

I love the irony for Arabs and Palestinians in Canada, they come here to my Fathers homeland ( as a aboriginal) and want to be Occupiers of his Ancestors soil by living here and then become a career whiner about Occupation of THEIR homeland
on the other side of the Globe.
Even the Tamil Terrorist supporters in Toronto Occupied Canadian land during a Toronto protest where they also used babies and children and human shields as they attack out Police.
The Pro-Hamas/Hezballah idiots also get Miller’s OK to Occupy canadian soil and make death threats at canadians because
we support a Democratic Nation within the U.N. .

Thanks for the link, Jonathon! My friend took the pics of those Nazi salutes and gave me permission to post them.

P.S. One of the best chants at the march on Sunday came from the pro-Israel side: “Free Gaza — from Hamas!”

The anti-Israel side heard it clear as a bell but, of course, did not join in.

he said “Fuck Canada Day” in solidarity with the natives
whether it was the right way to express his thoughts or not, he is an awesome young active guy…
so for all those hating on him, give your self a break and find something else to write about…. perhaps the killing of thousands of civilians, including infants, kids, women, and seniors under the name of self defense.

    LONG LIVE PALESTINE

Funny thing is that First Nations were not protesting on Canada Day. They were joining in the celebration of our great nation.

So Omar was protesting in solidarity with… nothing at all. A publicity stunt that backfired as badly as possible is all that it was.

A hypocrite is one who holds a standard for himself different than that of others. For anyone interested in what Israel’s, an illegal occupier power, record is on human rights rights than let then consult the work of Amnesty International, b’tselem, Human Rights Watch or the Goldstone report. What the noxious Narvey fails to mention is that he supports Israeli violence and stood firmly behind the killing of over 400 children, the use of white phosphorus and the targeting of civilian infrustructure. The reality is that peace can occur between equals, not occupiers and their enslaved. The situation of Palestinians should concern all who cares about human rights and the reality that Narvey evades is that if any country did the the United States, for example, what Israel did to Gaza than a Hamas like response who no doubt be viewed as some kind of pacifist appeasement.

@Ahmed – Ah, but you fail to mention Hamas firing rockets randomly into Jewish towns, and the fact that they deliberately make human shields of their own women and children so that they can whine about their deaths on the TV.

Here’s soemthing for you Islamist, sharia-promoting scumballs to consider:

Canada is a free country. Which means if you don’t like us, don’t like our ways, our morals, our values, our uncovered women, our dogs, our pork products, etc, you’re _free_ to slither on out and settle in the sharia shithole of your choice, where you would be much happier, being amongst your own kind and all.

    FUCK OFF.

    Down with the NDP

    Down with mass immigration
