I Ride the SkyTrain

So when the cops find the asshole who put a bomb on the tracks, I think it would be very nice if they could leave him on the tracks.

What Happened to the Other Shoe?

More importantly, what happened to the shoe’s owner?

I see an abandoned shoe just about every other week. It’s a mystery.

I assume that booze is involved.

If you’re in Vancouver and thinking of taking in some shows, here are my reviews over at Plank Magazine:

Enjoy!

Dude. How Much Did You Pay for That Website? Seriously?

Published by under TechView,Vancouver

$3 million is way too much to pay for a website. No, not this website. The City of Vancouver‘s website.

Apparently, I’m the last nerd in the city to find out about this fiasco. My jaw dropped when my wife asked my opinion about it during the Daily Show.

My verdict over at Writeimage: It sure seems like a rip-off.

I’m not blaming the developers and IT people who carried out the work they were asked to do (though it’s unclear how much City staff may have relied on outside expert advice that may not have leaned them towards the most cost-effective option); usually when things go this badly off the rails, it’s a project management issue at the top.
